The news of this loss has left me surprised and saddened. Heather was the epitome of someone who always looked on the brighter side of life. She was kind, thoughtful, and always knew how to have a good time.
We first met while I worked at Mars, but more recently we would see each other at her building’s pool almost every weekend. Whenever I saw her, she would yell out in an enthusiastic way, and we got to spend time hanging out. She never had anything, but kind words to say about anyone.
I will miss her immensely. She made the world a better place wherever she went.

I'm still in shock that Heather is no longer with us in person, but her spirit will always be here with the people she cared for and touched. I was fortunate enough to get to know her working on the same team at Mars, and while there's lots of great memories working together, it's those moments after we separated into different teams that I treasure even more. She never became a stranger and always found quality time to connect when we're in the same event just to catch-up with each other's lives.

Heather's genuine, caring & fun loving ... I am truly grateful for her friendship. It's been a few months since I last saw her and I'm glad I got to hug her one last time to let her know I will forever treasure such a beautiful soul. I already miss her.

Heather was one of my very first friends working at Mars. She went over and above for so many and cared so deeply for her friends. I had two babies in the past 3 years and each time she trekked all the way from the city out to the suburbs to buy me lunch, give me a hug and hold my babies— making me not feel so isolated while I was on maternity leave. She always made me laugh, and was my partner in crime at all of our team meetings. She also gave the best tips of where to go in Michigan to eat, where to visit— to make the most out of our family vacations. She always bragged about her beautiful niece and nephews showing me video clips and pictures regularly, doting on them. I love her and will miss her dearly. ❤️ I am deeply saddened to hear this news. Love to the family and all she touched.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with heather for two yrs. Heather had such a big heart and was such a sweet person. She always had a positive attitude and outlook toward everything. All my memories of Heather make me smile and I’m thankful I had the chance to meet her and work with her. The one that stands out the most is simple but is a great example of who she was. I was new to the team and Heather spent a full day working with me and helped me on board to my new team. She was so sweet and patient and was willing to take as much time as I needed. I’ll never forget her Selflessness and how willing she was to give up her own time to help me. Heather will be forever remembered.

You will be missed dearly Heather. I remember sitting in the waiting room in the Holland Hospital when you were so sick years ago. Thank you for all the great times we shared, and thank you for sharing Mya with me while at the Lake Cottage.
