

Jim was employed at Black River School as a Computer Tech. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Davenport University in December of 2014. He also volunteered on the Worship Team and as the Sound Technician at Liberty Worship Center where his father is the pastor.
Jim married Cheryl VanderKolk on May 31, 1986. He is survived by his wife Cheryl of Pullman; two sons, Christopher Horn of Pullman and Jason (Myra) Drew of Holland; two daughters, Andrea (Quellis) Irby of Holland and Darcy (Arturo) Solis of Pullman. His parents, Arlee and Donna Horn of Holland; two brothers, Mark (Linda) Horn of Fennville and Bret (Darlene) Horn of Riverview, Florida. Jim took great pride in playing with his grandchildren and is survived by his seven grandsons Douglas Jones, Korbin Solis, Miguel Solis, Jesus Solis, Jaron Drew, Quellis Irby III, Xavier Irby and by his one granddaughter Zuriel Horn. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Dale and Judy VanderKolk; two sister-in-laws Cindy (Scott) Sharp, Melissa (Paul) Steenwyk; two brothers-in-law, James (Michelle) VanderKolk and Kevin (Joy) VanderKolk. Jim had many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, March 24 at 3 p.m. at the Home Roller Rink located at 12521 James St. in Holland followed by a light lunch served at the Liberty Worship Center. Visitation will be on Monday, March 23 from 7–9 p.m. at the Liberty Worship Center located at 285 James St. in Holland.
