James Dale Wilson

In his youth, James was a skilled water skiier, taking his boat out on the lake whenever he could. He enjoyed shooting trap, having coffee with his friends, and wintering in Texas in their camper with his wife Barbara. Barbara preceded him in death in 2015.

He was also preceded in death by brother Wayne and Jan Wilson, brother-in-law Dave Kuite, and sister-in-law Jo Wilson.

He is survived by his children: Lynette and Edwin Geerlings, Michael and Theresa Wilson; Grandchildren: Mason and Katharine Jonker, Katelyn Geerlings and Andrew Gelder, Martin and Courtney Geerlings, Kyle Jonker, Amanda Geerlings, Marissa Geerlings; Great-grandchildren: Hadleigh, Ashton, Emma, and Angela; Siblings: Bill Wilson, Shirley and Larry Conroy, Linda Kuite, Lester and Teri Wilson, Brucell and Dave Crawley; Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 2:00pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services in Holland. The family will greet visitors an hour prior to services. Rev. Dan Roxbury will officiate. James will be laid to rest in Lakeshore Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
