It was an Honor and a Pleasure to work along side Jerry at Fris Office Outfitters River Avenue Store from 1986 to 1992! Before that, I had worked at a Staff Announcer/Host at WHTC Radio from 1978, right up until taking a Sales Position at Fris. Jerry asked me so much about my having been on the radio. Jerry had a genuine gift for listening, teaching, and unconditionally giving of himself and his time to help anyone. Customers and Fellow Employees alike would run to Jerry in that store because he had ALL the answers, all of the time! He was a very, very special Man!

I first met Jerry at a funeral for one of my great grandparents, I don’t recall which one since it was so long ago. My late mother, Marjorie Hoeve Anderson and Jerry were cousins. My great Aunt Edna Kruithof was a wonderful story teller of the days growing up in the country. I am sad he is no longer here on earth but rejoice that he is now in heaven free of pain! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in the days ahead.
