Joan (Folkert) Kleinheksel

Joan was a member of Overisel Reformed Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and served on various church committees’ throughout her lifetime.

Joan was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Alvin Folkert;

2nd husband, Lester Kleinheksel; Daugther’s-in-law, Sherri Folkert, Mary Folkert.

She is survived by her children, Jerry (Dawn) Folkert of Overisel, Ward Folkert of Holland, Deb (Ben) Lamer of Zeeland, Kathy (Dave) Jurries of Zeeland, Scott (Linda) Folkert of Hudsonville; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; Step children, Dale (Kathleen) Kleinheksel of Belmont, Cal (Nancy) Kleinheksel of Zeeland, Glenn (Beth) Kleinheksel of Overisel, Tim (Ruth) Kleinheksel of Holland, Ken (Nancee) Kleinheksel of Hamilton, Joy (Carl) Meyer of Oakland; several step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren; Sisters-in-law, Milly Koopman, Lottie (Frank) Gibbons; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Funeral services will be 11:00am, Monday, July 13, 2015 at Overisel Reformed Church. 4706 142nd Ave, Overisel. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Lokers. Burial will be in Overisel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8:00pm Sunday, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or to Holland Christian Schools.
