

He was born a triplet on October 18, 1925, to Lucille and Francis Resseguie. He is a WWII Marine veteran who fought in Okinawa, Japan. He drove as a long distance truck driver for 36 years and retired from Holland Motor Express in 1987. Through the years he enjoyed building and racing stock cars with his sons. His car was number 31 and he raced at AirPark Speedway, Berlin Raceway and Thunderbird Raceway along with other area race tracks. Junior also enjoyed fishing with his kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers David Resseguie, Raymond Resseguie, sisters Ida Greenert, Beverly Resseguie, son Danny Resseguie, grandson Ryan Resseguie, granddaughter Alicia Resseguie. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Ernestine (Teenie), sons Raymond (Kim) Resseguie, James (Coreen) Resseguie, daughters Peggy (Mike) Stephens, Patsy (Rob) Fishnick, Roxanne Trevino, 17 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Lucille (Marvin) Timmer.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Junior’s life with full military honors will be at on Monday, June 13, 2016, 1:00 PM at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, Holland, Michigan. Visitation will be at 12:00 PM 1 hour prior to the service.
