I have been blessed with a great friend in knowing Larry Hefferan! Husband Jim Tibbe and I moved here to Villa Maria in Dec. 2015, and sat at an adjacent table from Marilyn and Larry. They were a devoted couple, so loving toward each other. Jim and I had planned to come to St. Al's for the Funeral Mass for Marilyn, but Jim fell, and was never to walk again. Jim died five weeks later, so we shared a lot of grief with prayer, Mass and just talking together. We confided in each other, and I was well aware of his health problems. I told him I would take care of him, but he said my health was more fragile than his! We even joked about which of us would get to the Heavenly Gates first, and Larry won! I really miss sitting with him at breakfast, at Mass, at dinner, listening to Monday night jam sessions, Friday afternoon music hour, Bible study, and many daily Masses we shared. I thank God for having has the opportunity to know such a fine Catholic man! Yes, I did love your Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Uncle, Brother and Friend. Both my deceased husbands were also very good, loving, Catholic men, and I truly enjoyed having another good male companion to share talk, laugh, ter and prayer.
