August 12, 1958 – April 3, 2021
Louise Scholten, age 62 of Holland, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 3, 2021.
It wasn’t unusual to find a plate of fresh baked cookies or muffins on the counter if you stopped by to visit the Scholten house, as Louise was often baking and cooking for her family. She even had a tradition of making a special birthday cake for each of her grandchildren on their birthdays. She loved making blankets, and many of her closest loved ones were gifted her blankets throughout the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Dorothy Prince, and her brother Roger Prince.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years Paul;
Children: Brent and Amanda Scholten, Melissa Shinsky, Eric and Leah Scholten, and Heidi and Marty Horn;
Grandchildren Kylie, Alexander, Hailey, Khloe, Savana, Norah, Eleanor, Grayson, and Harper;

Louise you will be dearly missed. You were such a special friend, and mom & grandma to all of your children & grandchildren. It didn’t surprise me when I read in your obituary about how you loved to bake for your family. I remember a few years back the grandkids went to our church’s VBS. I was their teacher, and you brought me a plate of whole made cookies for having the kids in my class. That was so sweet! They were yummy too!
We are so sorry for you all in the loss of your wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and grandma. It all happened so fast, the stroke, operation, and now her leaving this earth to be with Jesus! We know she’s no longer in pain, she’s whole again and now is walking with Jesus! It’s just hard for all of you left behind. We are so thankful you have your faith and trust God that some day we’ll see our loved ones again! We will keep you all in our prayers. She will be dearly missed!
Big Hugs & Prayers,
Love, Vicky & Verl Bleeker & Chase & Cassie & Violet Bleeker
