From her birth in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, on May 12, 1939, to her death on Monday she enjoyed her life fully and willfully maintained her independence though suffering from Polymyositis, an uncommon disease that causes muscle weakness throughout the body. Never one to complain about her circumstances… she became an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Mae retired from Ottawa County Health Department in 1999 and maintained dual residency in Florida with her recently departed husband - Edward Vick.
Left to remember and honor Mae are her three children, Kevin Quigley, Dawn Campbell and Jody Rozema; five grandchildren, Zachary Quigley, Joshua Campbell, Clayton Campbell, Steven Brink, Justin Rozema; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William and Richard Perrault, and sister Yvonne Bono.
Mae will be remembered as a shining light in the lives of her family and her many friends.
Funeral services will be on Friday, June 24, 2016, at Lakeshore Memorial Services - 11939 James Street, Holland. Per her wishes, a one hour visitation is scheduled at 1:00 followed by a short service at 2:00.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to all those who assisted in her care and company during these last few months.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mae’s name to Wings of Mercy (wingsofmercy.org).
