Marcia Ruth DeJong, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, with her family by her side at MediLodge of Holland. Marcia was a long-time resident of Holland where she loved and enjoyed her kitties. She graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1964. She was proud of her many years at the Holland Sentinel as a proofreader.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Margaret Waldyke. Marcia is survived by her two sons, Mike and Brian (Andrea), and her grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Ashley, Heather and Kevin.
A private memorial service with the family will take place at a later date. She requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harbor Humane Society, 14345 Bagley Street, West Olive, Michigan 49460.
