Marian Brower

Marian Brower of Zeeland passed away on March 30, 2024 at the age of 97. She was born April 13, 1926 in North Blendon to John and Anna Rietman. She married Louis Brower on October 4, 1946. They celebrated 67 years of marriage. She was the oldest member of Beaverdam Christian Reformed Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis in 2013, daughter Cheryl Berghorst in 1982, son in law Larry Lugten in 1988, sisters Geraldine Haveman and Henrietta Schippers, brothers Jacob Rietman and Peter Rietman.

Surviving are her children Harv and Marcia Brower, Jerry Brower, Judy and Mike Zuverink, Ron and Jane Brower, Dave and Candi Brower, and son in law Mike Berghorst. She had 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Alma and Art Bouwkamp, brother in law Pete DeVries, sister in law Marge Pyle, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Marian is scheduled for Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 am to 11:15 am at Beaverdam Christian Reformed Church, 5166 64th Ave, Hudsonville, MI, followed by the funeral at 11:30. A time of refreshment and fellowship will follow the service. Burial will be in Blendon Cemetery.
