Marie Jane Catlett

Marie was born in Chicago, Illinois, October 16, 1922, to Emril and Hilma Wilson. She dedicated herself as a homemaker to raising her children. Marie will be remembered for her walks along Lake Michigan, with one of her favorites, being the boardwalk at Ottawa Beach and she also enjoyed the hiking trails and camping at Ludington State Park. Marie enjoyed watching and playing tennis, and drawing and painting with water colors. She loved her dogs and colorful flowers in her garden. While at Rachel’s House, she enjoyed participating in all the planned activities and she was a regular attendee at Resthaven Care Center’s church services.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Linda (Jim) Long of Arizona, and Becky (Mark) Afman of Fennville, Michigan; son, Gary (Darcy) Catlett of Arizona; five grandchildren, Joshua, Amy, Sarah, Ryan, and Cierra; and six great-grandchildren, Caleb, Javen, Maxwell, Stella, Ty, and Hudson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Catlett, granddaughter Jessica and great granddaughter, Maya.

There will be a private memorial service and internment.
