Mary Bakker

Mary Bakker, age 95, of West Olive passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at American House of Holland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Jay Bakker on April 8, 2010. She is survived by her children, JoAnn and Leon Assink of South Haven, Lynn and Judy Bakker of Richland, Marcia and Dale Gemmen of West Olive; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; in-laws, Butch Overkamp of Holland, Jean Overkamp of Holland, Cornelia Bakker of Fruitport; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary enjoyed sewing and worked at Holland Awning for many years. Funeral and committal services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Harlem Reformed Church, 6854 144th Ave. in Holland, with Pastor John Nyitray officiating. Burial will be in Port Sheldon Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5-7 pm also at Harlem Reformed Church.
