She was born May 21, 1965, in Holland, Michigan, the beloved daughter of Don and Carol Bulson. She is preceded in death by her mother, Carol, and her brother, Ted. She is survived by her husband Kip, her three children, Will, Ben, and Hillary, and her granddaughter Gwendolyn, as well as her father Don and brother Andy.
She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother, and she became a mother to her children’s spouses, Brooke, Kate, and Cade. She accepted us and taught us to accept others. She gave her family the best of herself and lives on each day in our hearts and lives.
She was one of the most enthusiastic students the Holland Public school system has ever known, and she graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management. She became a long-time HR professional, but the greatest work of her life was raising her three children with a stunning combination of tenderness, authenticity, and hospitality.
Nancy experienced and embodied the welcoming love of Christ. She served as a deacon in the church. Her table always had a place for the hungry. Her home always had room for the stranger. She fed and clothed and welcomed the least. She fed and clothed and welcomed Christ.
She prepared a table for us on Earth. Today, she feasts with God.
To know Nancy was to know joy. She was always the first to start laughing and the last to stop. Her smile lit up her face, and her laugh lit up the room. Of us all, we think she had the most fun. We are all brighter because of her light. Those who knew her will forever cherish the memory of that wonderful laugh.
Nancy's body will be cremated, and her ashes scattered by her immediate family. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 6, at Moran Park Church, 97 W 22nd St, Holland, MI, 49423. Her husband Kip will give the homily. In place of flowers, it is the family's wish that donations be made to the Women's Shelter at the Gateway Mission at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/25j02x/
Nancy is missed beyond words. She awaits us now, clothed in light, having opened her eyes on the one, beautiful, eternal day.
