Phillip B. Hill

Phillip was born to Floyd and Irma (Blair) Hill on November 14, 1935.

He worked at West Ottawa High School as a math teacher and taught boating safety and worked on marine patrol for Allegan County.

Phillip was associated with many organizations in the Holland area. He served on the race committee for the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club, volunteered for the Lake Michigan Sailing Racing Federation, Toys for Tots and served on the Michigan Volunteer Defense Force.

He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Donna (Nyland); his daughter, Julie (Robert) Oring of Phoenix, Arizona; his sisters, Patricia (Clyde) Risdon and Carolyn (Geoff) Krone; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 1 - 4 p.m. and 6 – 8:30 p.m. at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland, MI 49424.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made out to Toys for Tots and the Michigan Volunteer Defense Force.
