Priscilla Dean (Grief) Sanders was born February 12, 1950, in San Angelo, Texas, to John Ridler Grief and Macky (Sewell) Grief; both of whom preceded her in death. A brother, John Grief, is also deceased. A sister, Jenny Perkins, survives her.
Priscilla married James Marshall Sanders on June 12, 1970, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is survived by her husband and their five children and spouses: John Marshall Sanders and Rhonda (Diepenhorst) Sanders; Mark Alan Sanders and Kimberly (Hart) Sanders; Deidrean (Sanders) Barrett and James Michael Barrett;
James Michael Sanders and Shannon Deloris (Spurlock) Sanders; and Stephen Adam Sanders and Heather Anne (Lowery) Sanders.
Priscilla graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She then successfully completed an accelerated master’s program at Western Michigan University and subsequently obtained licensure as a Master Social Work, in the state of Michigan. She had a private counseling practice for many years.
Priscilla enjoyed traveling (there were only five states left to visit). and tending to her flowers, grasses, and gardens. She especially loved spending time with family and friends.
Priscilla was a good and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; in which she served in many leadership and teaching positions over a span of many, many years.
Per her wishes, no visitation or service will take place. Interment has taken place in the green burial section of Ridgeview Memorial Gardens, Grandville, Michigan. A private family gathering was held at the grave site, at which time the grave was dedicated by Jimmy Kaiser.
