Raymond was married to Doris Ann Opremchok in a small ceremony on November 26, 1966, and celebrated 54 wonderful years together. Raymond, or “Ed”, as known by many, spent his early career as a welder in the shipyards of Wisconsin. His working years also included jobs as a molder and machine operator. His favorite job, during retirement, was as a greeter at the local Walmart. Raymond enjoyed this position immensely and always greeted customers with a warm smile and candy for the children. Raymond had a booming voice with a personality that matched. Life revolved around his wife, Doris, his children and grandchildren. He also had an eternal love for his pets and for all animals in general.
Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman, who also enjoyed bowling in his younger years. There were always stories about the one that got away and or almost bowling that perfect game. Raymond spent his summer months gardening and landscaping with flowers. He always gifted bouquets of flowers to the women of his life.
