Richard David Rockhold

Dave was born January 20, 1949 to Richard and Marybelle (Toops) Rockhold. He grew up in Wayland, MO and served our country in the United States Marines. Following his discharge from the military, he married Janice (Zeerip), and they settled in West Michigan. He worked for Prince Corporation and Brillcast. During his retirement, he loved volunteering many hours at Hungry for Christ, which led to a position as warehouse manager. Dave enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, playing Mexican Train, but most importantly supporting his children and grandchildren in their many activities and sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Marybelle; parents-in-law Bill and Alida Zeerip; brother Ed Rockhold; brothers-in-law, Ken Zeerip, Don Zeerip, Nelson Zeerip, Bill Zeerip; and sister-in-law, Mary (Bush) Zeerip.

Dave is survived by his wife Janice of 51 years; children Blaine (Jamie) Rockhold, Missy (Brian) Sterenberg, Brian (Rose) Rockhold; grandchildren Jessilyn and Makynlie Rockhold, Mikaela, Jacob, and Isaac Sterenberg, Hannah, Alison, Jack, Alida, and Finley Rockhold; sister Rosie (Joe) Sanford; in-laws, Mary (Don) Sal, Mary Jo Zeerip, Russ (Fran) Zeerip, Dorothy Zeerip, Joan Zeerip, Lori Rockhold; many extended family and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Dave’s life will be 11:00am, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13 from 2-4, and 6-8pm at Lakeshore Memorial.
