Ruby Jean Lawson

Ruby Jean Lawson, age 85 of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Holland, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 in Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Ruby was born and raised in Corbin, Kentucky. She was employed by G.E. for 36 years, where she was active in the Union and served on the Labor Council of greater Holland. Ruby enjoyed camping, deer hunting and cooking. She was also an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2005 and 7 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children: Sarah Pigeon of Shepherd, MI, Caroline and John Wise of Indiana; 10 Grandchildren; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; Brother and sister: Charles Saylor of Holland, Carol and Bill Weirauch of St. Claire Shores; Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 994 Paw Paw Drive, Holland, MI.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Benevolent Fund at Westshore Christian Church.

Dearest Sarah and Carol and your families. We are so sorry for your loss of your dear mother and our aunt ruby. She will be missed terribly, but she is in a beautiful place with uncle john now. She was truly loved and she knew it, and she gave so much love to everyone. Our love is with you all.
