Rudolph Alan Bahnsen, 68, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Rudy was born November 19, 1948 in Sandusky, Ohio. He graduated from Big Rapids High School and attended General Motors Institute and Grand Valley State University. He retired from Holland Hitch in 2003. In life, Rudy enjoyed working on and racing cars with his many friends and spending time with his wife, children, and grandsons. He is now resting comfortably in the arms of his heavenly father.
Rudy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beth and their children Connie and Josh Kooistra, Amanda and Ross Weenum; grandchildren Ben, Sam, and Luke Kooistra, Jack and Reid Weenum; mother Hilda Marie Bahnsen; brother Robert Bahnsen; and many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
