Scott was born in Muskegon, MI to Gary and Nancy (Vanderlind) Klinkers. He graduated from Zeeland High School and went on to own a business of his own – Klinkers Builders and Construction, where he always took great pride in his work. He married LuAnn Mcalpine in 1982, and together they built a beautiful family with their two children, Melissa and Nick.
Scott was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He particularly enjoyed pheasant hunting and was a member of a hunt club. Scott was also active in his church, South Olive CRC, and often volunteered with the food pantry, mowed the lawn, and was also involved in the men's bible study.
He was preceded in death by his father Gary Klinkers and sister Deb Klinkers. He was also preceded by his grandparents, brothers-in-law, as well as a niece and nephew.
Scott is survived by his loving wife LuAnn; children Melissa (Brandon) Ion and Nick Klinkers; grandson Chase Martin; as well as mother Nancy Klinkers; siblings Kurt (Tami) Klinkers, Pam (Dave) Meyaard, and Mark Klinkers. Scott is also survived by mother-in-law Nancy Day-Fuller (Pitcher); sister-in-law Lisa (Steve) Hilton, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Services for Scott will be held at South Olive CRC - 6425 120th Ave. Holland, MI 49424. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5 from 5-7 PM, and a memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6 at 11 AM.
