

Artie Orozco, 75, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020, after a brief illness at Holland Hospital in Holland, Michigan. He was one of six siblings born to Joe and Maria (Soto) Orozco. Artie proudly served his country in the US Army and was a proud Vietnam combat veteran. He continued his passion as a life member through the VFW, American Legion, DAV, AmVets, Howard County Vietnam Veterans Organization of Indiana, Marine Corps League #1027 and Vietnam Veterans of American chapter 73. He stayed active with the Honor Guard for the American Legion of South Haven and VFW of Holland. Whenever Artie would see anyone wearing military apparel, he would thank them for their services and become a friend.
For many years Artie looked forward to travel to Kokomo, Indiana, for one of the largest Vietnam reunions in the country with many of “the brothers” from the Vietnam Veterans from chapter 73.
Artie was proceeded in death by the love of his life Mary Traucins, his parents Joe and Maria Orozco, nieces Monica Vergara, Yolanda Gomez and Amanda Orozco.
He is survived by Victor and Rosa Orozco, Mary and Franciso Vergara, Loretta Orozco and Arturo Gomez, Paula Moreno, Anna and Gerard Perales all of Holland, along with many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
