Thomas R. Kelley Sr.

Tom, was a member of IBEW and a Korean War US Navy Veteran who was loved by all who had the pleasure to know him. A gentle and caring man he was the cherished “Papa” to so many youngsters and could brighten a day with his engaging smile. A longtime fan of all Chicago sports franchises Tom was a bigger fan and supporter of whatever local team his children or grandchildren were playing for.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anna Kelley; and his wife Patricia (Patsy) Kelley in 2004.

He is survived by his children, Dawn Marie Benson of Holland, and Thomas Jr. (Christine) Kelley of Illinois; 3 grandchildren, Jason Benson, Amanda (Jeremy) Weighmink, and Mike (Jennifer) Benson; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Pat (Mary) Kelley of Illinois, and Dennis (Dean) Kelley of Indiana; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 4-8:00pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.

Cremation will be private.
