Virginia Kooyers

Virginia was born in Muskegon, MI February 6, 1948 to Joseph and Jean (Keilbus) Hutta. She graduated from Holland High School in 1966, worked at Hubbell’s and Crisp Country Acres while she was younger, but will be best remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; a person who was a talented artist, and loved to care for her animals. She spent many days and loved being a part of the Women’s Bible Study and quilting group and South Olive CRC.

Virginia is survived by her husband William Kooyers; children Justin Kooyers and Jason (Andrea) Kooyers; 2 grandchildren Addisyn and Jonah Kooyers; siblings Joe (Jane) Hutta, Will (Margaret) Hutta, Beverly (Jerry) Molengraff, John Hutta, Mike (Kerry) Hutta, Dave (Sally) Hutta, Mary Hutta Redder, and Rose (Mark) Bishop; many extended family and friends.

A service to celebrate Virginia’s life will be 1:00pm Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at North Holland Reformed Church, 12050 New Holland St., Holland, with the Rev. Steven DeVries officiating. Burial will be in Olive Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00noon until the time of the service Tuesday at the church.
