Wesley Glass went to be with his Lord and Savior 2:00 pm Thursday Jan 20th. He was 85 born August 29, 1936 the 11th of 15 Children born to Martin and Kate Glass of Borculo. He is preceded in death by both his parents and siblings, Mildred (Tom) Rosema, June (Jo) Glass, Bernice (Chester) Cramer, Adrian (Verna) Glass, Jo Hulst, Delbert Sr. Glass, (Louise) Dorlene (Don) VanderPloeg, Bernard Glass, Baby Katie Glass, Kathleen (Marty) Everett, Virgil (Lois) Glass. Wayne (Jackie) Glass, his twin, Karen (Bob) Wissink and Rich (Phyllis) Glass are still with us here on earth along with In-laws, Leda (Charlie) Monhollon, Ann Hamilton and Lois Glass and many of their offspring.
Wes met his lovely wife Necia (of 64 years) while working his first job besides the farm work at Heinz. She worked in the office and he liked her wiggle while walking through the factory...my father was always the fun loving flirt!.. He also had many fond memories working at Crampton and retired from Heidima Bros as a Semi Tank Truck Driver.
Wes and Necia (deceased 2019) have 3 children, Gerry (Dot) Glass, Deborah Tacoma, Rodney (Kim) Glass. 8 Grandchildren Sarah (Drew) Garcia, Emily (Chad) Martin, Jessica (Landon) Eberly, Abigail (Greg) Simmons, Nathan (Amanda) Glass, Jenna (Dusty) Bagley, Amanda (Brynt) Boyd, Zachary (Morgan) Glass; along with 19 Great Grandchildren who are all living except for one grandson Justin Glass.
They were members and very involved at North Holland Ref Church their entire married lives and raised their family in Nordeloos. Wes ministered to many through his love of music playing his guitar, harmonicas, singing and yodeling. He had a band Corky's Pals that he really enjoyed and was a very fun loving guy who did not have one person who, when around him, did not feel that love. He was also very involved with the Coopersville Farm Museum and enjoyed singing on the train.
Funeral services will be 11:00am, Friday, January 28, 2022 at North Holland Reformed Church, 12050 New Holland St. Officiating will be Rev. Steven De Vries. (The service will be livestreamed on North Holland Church’s Facebook page). Burial will be in North Holland Cemetery.
Visitation is planned for Thursday, January 27 from 4-7pm and Friday from 10:00am until the time of the service at North Holland Church.
