Christine Shaffer

Christine Shaffer, age 91, of Holland died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Lake Park Comfort Care. She was born December 27, 1923 in Columbia, KY to Ralph and Lorene (Skaggs) Stults. Christine was formerly employed by Toledo Scale and Lincoln Research. During her last years, Chris lived with her son, Jim and his wife, Mary. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Peg (Butch) Briggs, Betty (Roger) Comprix-Felton, Sue (Al) Alldaffer, Jim (Mary) Shaffer, and Bob Shaffer as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lorene; husband, Harold Shaffer; daughter Mary A. Shaffer and her sisters, Francis and Pauline.

Friends will be received on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 12-7 P.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) where a Celebration of her life will be held that afternoon at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy may do so to Road Bed Ministries or the charity of the donor’s choice.
