

Laurel Christine King, age 53, of Perrysburg died of heart failure Wednesday, May 4, 2011. She was born May 21, 1957 in Toledo to Archie L. and Virginia K. (Eckels) King. A graduate of the University of Toledo, Laurel worked at Owens Community College as a library cataloger for 30 years.
Laurel was a private person, loved by her family and her Lord. She was a friend to animals, having cats throughout her life. She kept a horse and enjoyed riding while she was able. She spent many hours in researching family genealogy. Laurie was a skilled baker and seamstress, for which she won many ribbons at county fairs.
Laurel had a life-changing encounter with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and as a result, faced her future without fear.
She is survived by her mother, Virginia King Bauer; brothers, Roger (Penny) King, Randall (Carol) King and Robin (JoAnn) King; nieces, Abigail (Myke) Brown, Sarah King, Lauren and Lindsay King; nephew, Benjamin (Jackie) King. She was preceded in death by her father, Archie King.
Family and friends will be received 10 A.M. on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) with private burial at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Laurel’s name to the Wood County Humane Society, 801 Van Camp Road, Bowling Green, OH 43402.
