Adam will be remembered by the Emergency Management Enterprise team as a true professional with a compassionate demeanor.  Adam always saw projects through with passion and the intention of protecting the patients, caregivers and visitors to the hospitals as if they were his family that he was watching over.  We last saw Adam in mid-March when the Florida team came to Cleveland for an EM retreat.  We are all grateful to have spent time with him, albeit only two days, we are grateful for the short window. Adam walked in the room and took the time to learn everyone’s name.  I remember him walking into the office and calling everyone by their name as he wished them a good morning or afternoon.  He made people feel important and that he cared about everyone’s safety, while always open to new opportunities to evolve as Cleveland Clinic grew.  He made me and the people in his world feel like family.  Adam, you’ll be missed, but your legacy remains on the heart of CCF and the community you served.  Thank you.

I did not know Adam personally. I only new Adam in passing through his smile and gentle kind hellos. All those who loved and knew Adam well, most likely is moving through a silence, a sadness, a longing for one more day, word, touch and may not understand why Adam left you. But little by little you will begin to remember not that Adam is gone, but that Adam Lived! And that Adam's life left you with Memories too Beautiful too Forget!! Remember Adam as the guiding light whose love, experience and teachings at CCF showed so many the way!!

This is Alfred Grasso.  I worked with Adam for Several years while he was with the Florida Department of Health in Broward County, prior to his career at Cleveland Clinic.   His wife Jillian (Janicki at the time) worked directly with me at the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County.  

Adam was such a special person.  There aren’t enough adjectives to describe his character and being.  

Both Adam and Jillian were, are, experts in the field of Emergency and Public Health Preparedness.  Both were, are, so well respected by their peers. 

I vividly remember when they first started courting each other.  A Regional Department of Health Team was setting up a portable field hospital on Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach for the Palm Beach Marathon.  I remember seeing the twinkle in Adam’s eyes when he was working around Jillian.  It was truly “love at first sight”, so to speak.  It gets better.  Then came their wedding.  What a blast.  The perfect couple.  Then fate brings them even closer as they both become employed at Cleveland Clinic in Weston., with very successful and distinguished careers.

Unfortunately both had to endure such physical and mental anguish after Adam’s heart attack.  He fought courageously, and Jillian stayed so strong by his bedside and never gave up hope despite overwhelming odds.  Now Adam’s resting in peace.  It was an honor an privilege to have known such a wonderful person.

I’ll never forget “AY”, as I often called him.  I will cherish all the memories of our times together.  I know his legacy remains forever in my heart and the hearts of many others.  Adam definitely made the world a better place.

I have fond memories of Adam while I was employed at Cleveland Clinic Weston. Whenever he had a chance he would stop by Jillian’s desk just across from mine to chat and make her smile. Theirs was a great love story. I hope Jillian and the boys find comfort knowing they had a great dad and husband.

If only we had known the last time we chatted over Teams would have been the last time!
You will be sorely missed, a great colleague, quick with responses about policies, calm, cheerful and one of the few people I can say would never pass you in the hallway and not acknowledge you or stop to have a chat!  Always the gentleman. You will forever be in our minds and your family, especially your dear wife Jillian and sons will always be in our thoughts.  Sleep In Eternal Peace Adam!

Adam had a beautiful soul, we know he was a wonderful husband and son. He was always pleasant and kind to everyone. And we will always remember him that way. He will be missed. May you Rest In Peace Adam. Please accept our sincere condolences to Adam's family.

To the family of Adam  i would like to share a couple of memories , many years ago when Adam came on board at Cleveland Clinic he would hold diaster training courses  the most diificult one was one we were asked to build the Decon tent which took the whole Engineering team to put it together boy it was like trying to build a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle finally after it was built he would always ask is that it like an hour later then we had to disassemble it and put it in there bags for storage . Now March 2022 i was in Adams office /Storeroom lol we talked and he said to me I have good news  I just looked at him and asked what is it  he said that he had gotten the green light to get a New blow up Decon tent which would take hardly time for it to be blown up which as he was telling me this with the biggest smile on his face ( Alway Smiling ) he told me it was about time for this tent  We will miss you my friend Rest in Piece  thanks for being a great friend

To the family of Adam, I worked with Adam at the Department of Health. My deepest sympathy for you at this time. Adam gave me my first job in emergency preparedness. He was always caring and had the best smile. He always spoke so highly of you all and I hope it brings comfort that he loved you all.

Adam's memory and impact will always be felt here at CCF.  He will be sorely missed.  On behalf of our entire Finance Team, please accept our deepest sympathies.  Our prayers are with his family and all that loved and cared for him.

Adam and I worked together as Emergency Managers with Cleveland Clinic. He was a dear colleague and friend, and I enjoyed our conversations about shared connections to Illinois and Ohio. He was always good for a laugh, serious conversation, helpful advice, or sharing resources and information. I learned so much from him. He was truly a servant leader, true colleague, friend, and all around nice guy. This is truly a devastating loss, but those of us lucky enough to know him were lucky indeed. May you Rest In Peace, Adam. Deepest condolences to Adam’s family. May his memory be a blessing, and may peace be with you while you grieve.

Adam, you were a great man!  I am blessed to have known such a funny, intelligent, and free spirited guy.  Thank you for blessing us with your hard work, contributions to our region, and your friendship.  I know you are in the loving arms of our God and for that I find peace.  However, you will be missed my brother! My condolences to the family.
