

Alecxander "Alec" Anthony Silva 25, of Fort Lauderdale, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, California. Alec was born September 30, 1990 in Danbury Connecticut. The son of Sylvia Santos and Agostinho Veloso. Alecxander moved to Florida in 1998 with his family. He successfully completed Elite Leadership Military Academy and immediately enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 17.
He served for our country and the 10th Mountain Division "Ghost Squandrant" U.S. Army Infantry and fought in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Kuwait. Alec also received a "Purple Heart" for his bravery and saving the lives of his beloved brothers.
Alec was dearly loved by his family, friends, and his military brothers. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed riding motorcycles, jet skiing, fly boarding, fishing, scuba diving, spear fishing, paintball and others.
On August 9, 2013, his son, Alecxander Antonio Silva Jr., was born.
Alec leaves behind his, mother, Sylvia Santos and his father, Agostinho Veloso; brothers, Andre Pereira and Joshua Santos, grandmother, Maria Irene Silva, aunts, Carla Silva and Christina Williams, step-father, Luis Pereira, uncle, Rogerio Pereira, godfather Hamilton Farias and godmother Julia Carvalho. Alec is also survived by his girlfriend, Vanessa Landa with whom he was with 5 years of his life. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Antonio daSilva Filho.
