Alexandra Christine Kolb was born in 1973 in Cali, Colombia. She was known as Alex to friends and family, and made her way to Washington, DC in 2004 to follow her professional path, then moved to South Florida to follow her heart in 2005. Alex had much success in her career over the years and was a committed professional woman of the highest integrity who cared for her teammates and her customers. She was a fitness enthusiast, practiced skydiving for many years, and enjoyed an active social life with a wonderful circle of friends and neighbors in the town she loved and called home, Hollywood Florida.
Alex passed away in the early hours of Saturday June 1st, 2024, leaving a tremendous void in the lives of all her loved ones. She was pre-deceased by her father Joaquim Helmut Kohl, her mother Dagmar Kloeztner, and her beloved cat Sasha. She leaves behind her uncle Klemens Frank Kloetzner and cousin Andrea Kloetzner of London, Ontario, as well as her ex-husband Bernard Abtan of Fort Lauderdale, her beloved cat Galaxy, and many close friends and associates.
As we find often in modern times, our small families are supplemented with our adopted families, and Alex was no exception. She touched the lives of many, and her bright light went out far too early. She will be greatly missed by all of those who were fortunate to know and love her, and she will remain in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace, beloved dear Alex.
