Although I did not know Alyssum well, I can vividly recall her brilliant smile and warm personallity lighting up my office when she came to visit during my time co-habittating with Steve and Grainne at Tilson's Securities, a period of my life which I reflect upon with the fondest of memories.

I am so sorry I will be unable to attend the memorial. No words can express the sadness of Alyssum’s sudden passing.
What I wanted to share with you, is a memory I have of Alyssum, when she was a single girl living in Miami and working for an architectural company.
I visited her, while in Miami while on a business trip, after having only known her only for few brief periods of times as a teenager living with her Mom Jennifer in Mill Valley.
In front of me was the adult version of Alyssum. A beautiful, stylish woman, professionally dressed, and I must say, in her element. She was confident and on top of her game, seemingly running the entire operation.
I very much enjoyed my visit with her, which included an introduction to her employer and a tour of a huge project nearby. I was very impressed & immediately phoned Jennifer to tell her how proud she should be.
I am so sad she is gone. Sd for Jennifer, sad for Pierson, and sad for a life plucked before its time.

To my beautiful niece and flower girl, Alyssum. I have  been and always be will be so proud of you. As a little girl, you always looked directly into people’s eyes with your twinkly, bright and all-seeing eyes and listened carefully to answers to your questions. Curious and always thinking, you had many.  It was amazing to me how you could live on the East and West coast as a little girl flying back and forth as easily as a small bird. You were more worldly than I have ever been and from all of this background, you were able to empathize and sympathize with so many friends. You made the world a better place with your presence. I loved spending time with you. I loved doing little crafts with you. We made a sweet little book together and you were so thrilled and it made me so happy that this little activity could entertain such a worldly little girl. You always showed such genuine appreciation and love. We were so blessed to have you in our lives, Alyssum. I know that Rosie, Danny and Hannah felt your unconditional love and care and for that I will always be grateful. They were always so starstruck by your bright light!  We shall look for you in the stars, Alyssum, knowing you will be shining the brightest.  I hope to see you in my dreams soon. Please give D.D. a tight squeeze from me. You two were good buddies. If you were lucky enough to have Alyssum in your life then you know how special and one of a kind she was. I am so sad we will lose this special soul this early. I never knew when or where she would pop back up into my life every few years. I will cherish our many adventures of riding around Venice Beach on bicycles all night or other random events. She was pure magic and will live on in my heart. Hope to see you again one day friend.

I am forever touched by the gentleness and kindness you shared with those you loved dearly and all others who simply needed your support or friendship. You gave so much of yourself and asked for very little, even during your hardest moments. Though you never ceased to amaze me with your positive, forward-thinking nature, your depth of feeling and understanding, and your never-ending tenacity for your true convictions. You had the loveliest way of making anyone…everyone around you feel at home, and your effortless charm and playful, free spirit captivated the very many people who had the privilege of knowing you and experiencing all the unique qualities that made you tremendously special. 
 
You will endlessly live on in the minds and hearts of all your loved ones.  As sure as I am that tomorrow, the sun will rise to warm us, your darling Pierson will grow up proud and blessed to have had the very, very best of you. I will forever cherish the beautiful memories we created together and will carry them with me in my heart wherever I go.

Alyssum was such a light in all our lives. She was the cousin that you could tell anything to and she would never judge. Also, Alyssum was the kind of person who would drop anything for family, no questions asked. She loved everyone so selflessly. How could this happen?
You probably didn’t know that you would leave so soon. I hope your soul is now resting peacefully. I’m so sorry that you went through such a rough time. You don’t have to worry about anything anymore.

I wish we had more time together instead of losing you so suddenly. I will always remember your sweet presence and how deeply you touched our hearts. You were so giving and selfless, but you didn’t know how to take care of yourself. I wish I had reached out to you—now it’s too late.

My heart aches for you. You didn’t have it easy, and I’m sorry for all the pain you endured. I can’t bring myself to accept that you’re gone because you’re still alive in my heart. Just thinking of you fills me with sweet memories.

You were so incredibly kind and giving, always supporting everyone around you. Please be at peace now. I hope you find the happiness you truly deserve, and one day, I’ll see you in heaven.
