

Born in Banes, Cuba, on August 29, 1935, one of eight children born to Aristides and Ines Maria (Proenza) Reyes. She was raised and educated in Cuba. Ana met and married the love of her life in 1959, Pedro Abigantus. They migrated to the United States in 1966, first settling in the Bronx, New York and shortly thereafter, moved to Miami and then Hollywood. She was a long-time member of the Stirling Road Spanish Baptist Church in Hollywood.
Ana was a homemaker who loved her family and her precious dog, Pelusa. She will be sorely missed by her husband and extended family.
Survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Pedro Abigantus, and her siblings: Carlos, Aristides, Aldo, Alexis, Abel, and Amable. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, Carlos (Nancy) Reyes, Frank (Ivette) Cerabona, Raul (Ines) Villalobos, Aristides Reyes, Anibal (Laura) Reyes, Ivonne Reyes, Ricardo Reyes, Alejandro Reyes y Ricardo Reyes, Jr. Ana was preceded in death by her son, Pedro A. Abigantus, Jr. in 2009, and one sibling, Adalberto.
Visitation on Thursday (Today), November 9th from 6:00~9:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Funeral service on Friday, November 10th at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Jorge Alvarez officiating. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery ~East.
