It is with great sadness that the family of Angel Luis Rivera Hollywood, FL announces his passing on March 22, 2026. Born on December 24, 1938 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The family moved to Bronx, New York in 1949. After a number of years in the garment industry Angel and his wife Catalina decided to change careers and moved to Hollywood Florida in the early 1980s.
After attending schooling for heating and air-conditioning installation and repair, Angel did this job until a back injury caused him to be unable to do this line of work. While recovering, Angel decided to go back to school and learn a new career in drafting.He learned a new and innovative form of drafting called AutoCAD along with licensing to teach.He loved his position as an AutoCad instructor for Broward County schools where he was employed for the next 25 years. After retiring Angel enjoyed time and travel with his beloved Cathy until her passing in 2018. Angel is survived by a son Angel Jr (Maureen) of New York, NY, daughter Tina Rivera Brinkley of New Jersey, brother Hector (Ann) of Winter Springs Fl., sisters Julia Rodriguez of New York, NY, Maria DiBenedetto of Orlando Fl., and Milagros Delio of Maitland Fl, along with a number of grandchildren who were a source of great pride and joy in his life.
A private Memorial Service will be held at an undetermined date.
