Angela was born in London, England to Irvine and Myrtle King on November 5, 1970. She grew up in Ottawa, Canada and earned her nursing degree from Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto, Canada. Angela moved to Florida to begin her nursing career, where she met her soulmate, Eric. They were married on May 10, 2003. Angela was a dedicated ICU Nurse for Memorial Healthcare System at Memorial West Hospital for more than 20 years.
As much as Angela loved being a nurse, her greatest accomplishment was being a mother. She was a proud and devoted mother to Erica (18) and Aydan (16). Angela was highly involved in all of her kid’s activities, especially Erica’s gymnastics and Aydan’s baseball. She was the best gymnastics and baseball Mom anyone could have.
Angela is survived by her husband Eric Velazquez, daughter Erica and son Aydan, her parents Irvine and Myrtle King, her brother and sisters, Joan King-Brown, Yvonne Williams (Nevil), Sonia Holness (Phillip), Rohan King (Kelly), and Shauna King (Daniel), as well as 16 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a loving mother-in-law, father-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11am. Arrangements by Fred Hunters of Hollywood funeral home.
The family of Angela wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all her friends in the nursing and medical field, her gymnastics, baseball, and school family and to all those who knew her, because to know her is to love her.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Angela’s gofundme for the kids.
