

Born in Wiesbaden, Germany on July 9, 1929, daughter of Wihelm and Sabina Hartel, Erika emigrated from Germany in 1950, settling in East Meadow, Long Island, New York. In 1957 her husband, John Campagna died and she was left to raise three young children. She and her children later moved to Queens, New York. Mrs. Campagna worked to become fluent in English and subsequently became an executive secretary for Pitney Bowes Company.
Following her retirement in 1985, Mrs. Campagna moved to Dania Beach, Florida and was active in the German-American Club in Hollywood where she was a member of their choir. She was a member of the Church of The Little Flower. Annemarie loved her family and enjoyed all kinds of music, often playing the piano, the guitar and singing.
She is survived by her loving children, Nunzio Campagna, John Campagna and Karen DelSordo, her four grandchildren, Erika DelSordo, Danielle DelSordo, Christian Campagna and John Campagna, as well as her dear sister-in-law, Pauline Diaz and her brother Karlheinz Rupprecht. She was predeceased by her husband, Staff Sergeant John Campagna and her daughter-in-law, Roxane Campagna and dear sister Elli Kettner.
Visitation is on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street in Hollywood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Little Flower, 1805 Pierce Street, Hollywood. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Garden Cemetery and Mausoleum.
