She relocated to Chicago, IL at the age of 18 where she later met and married Eddie Key. She worked as a Library Assistant at the Art Institute of Chicago where she eventually retired at the age of 79. She then relocated to Florida where she spent the remainder of her years.
She joined Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in her early adult life, serving in various clubs and organizations for over 40 years.
She departed this life on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 3:45 am at the VIP Care Pavillion.
She leaves to cherish her memory but mourn her passing five children, Ronald, Cassandra, Edward, Easmon & Mildrena; one daughter in law Diane; one brother Brown; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
