Anthony Robert Tentor

Anthony Robert Tentor, 92, passed away peacefully of natural causes at his Hollywood, FL home with family on February 19, 2022. Tony was born on January 4,1930 in Philadelphia, PA to Anthony G. Tentor and Jennie Tentor (nee Toich).

Tony moved to Florida in the 1950s. He was co-owner of H&A Air Conditioning.  As a 35+ years member of American Legion (Post 92), Tony was fondly known as “The Godfather”. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church for over 60 years.

He loved his family and was a loyal friend. He treated people fairly and was always willing to help others.  He enjoyed world travel visiting family in Europe many times. Tony had the knack to figure out how to fix just about anything.  His quick wit, smile, positive attitude, and engaging conversations will be missed by friends and family.

Tony is survived by his daughters, Jeanne Bradley, Shirley Perkins, Norma Gammons and Brenda Tentor, his grandchildren Shawn Roberts, Veronica Tentor, Rebecca Bradley and Robert Bradley, his sister Christina Tentor and nephews Martin Tentor and Lawrence Tentor.

He was pre-deceased by first wife and mother of his 5 children, Elizabeth “Betty” Tentor (nee Neutz), son Anthony J. Tentor, and brother Richard Tentor. His wife Ingeborg Tentor also pre-deceased him.

A celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post 92, 211 N. 21 Ave., Hollywood, FL on Sat., March12 at 1:00 pm.

Mass will be held at Little Flower Catholic Church, 1805 Pierce St., Hollywood, FL on Mon., March 14 at 11 am.
