Barbara Frances Lundy

Lundy, Barbara, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 10, 2009 after a courageous battle against breast cancer and ARDS. She was a pillar of faith for her family, friends, and those she touched through her work as a writer and editor at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. Her marriage to Rick Lundy in 1983 began a partnership of love and support that grew in strength as their faith life grew. Through all they shared, they brought Christ to the center of their lives and faith as the anchor of their life together. Christian, Elizabeth, Andrew, and Daniel called her Mom, and through times of joy and sorrow she was the rock upon which her family rested. As a writer and editor, her words found their place in best-selling books, magazines, and a wide range of Calvary Chapel publications. From weekly bulletins to book length projects, her words were tools of faith that touched thousands of people in support of the ministry. She is survived by her husband and four children; aunt Elizabeth Glendinning; siblings David and Peter Glendinning, Tori Pough, and their families, and many others that loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Lorraine Glendinning and her mother and father-in-law Daniel and Rose Lundy. Services will be held at Calvary Chapel, Fort Lauderdale on Friday, August 14th at 1:30 pm. Flowers may be sent to the church or a donation made in her name to 4Kids, a ministry of Calvary Chapel.
