A TRIBUTE TO BARRY ARNAUT, my friend....Barry and I drove many times from the East to the West Coast of Florida ....from the Keys through Georgia and more. In 1992 we even braved Hurricane Andrew with Anita and Connie. We had a lot of time to not only be concerned about the next sale but to reflect upon our values and the meaning of life. Barry was a Salesman. Salesman take rejection often . They handle “no” better than any profession. They merely brush themselves off, get up the next day and make it happen. Arthur Miller's Willy Loman did not have it right...Barry was out there in the blue , riding on a smile and a shoeshine and when they stopped smiling back it was not an earthquake to Barry, it was an opportunity to do it better the next time.Knowing Barry not only made me a better salesman but a better human being. Barry like all of us had peaks and valleys in his life. The purpose of the peak is to celebrate life and the purpose of the valley is learn about life. Barry did a lot of learning and celebrating. Barry and I have been friends for decades. Barry was a salesman. The salesman is the advanced agent of civilization. Barry would say “nothing happens until a sale was made .” Barry wanted to be a manufacturer's Rep and he hinted this to me several times when I visited him at Bobb's Piano and Organ Company. I knew he would be Kawai's best Representative. The concern was he could sell Kawai's Organs at the retail level better than anyone else in the country or the world for that matter. At that time he was more important to Kawai and Bobb's at the retail level . It just so happened a brief argument with Bob led Barry to go to work for the competition . This opened the door to employ him at Kawai. Year after year Barry was Kawai's top area Sales Manager. Barry put food on the table of many dealers , employees and salespeople at the wholesale and retail level. Barry had an innate sales talent and an unique but very effective- manner of training others to succeed in sales.We all take different paths in life but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other with us and pass it on to those we touch. This is true with our relationships with Barry. This is done knowingly or unknowingly. This is Heaven on Earth where our spirit lives in those that succeed us. This is the life everlasting.I do not believe Barry accepted anyone’s definition of himself. Barry knew that nobody could make him feel discomfort without his consent. Barry defined himself . Barry knew peace, joy and well being can only be found within. He did not look to the outside for confirmation. Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself enlightenment. Barry knew who he was. Character is manifested in great moments, it is made in small ones. Barry had a world view that many did not see. He wanted people to be successful, even at his own expense at times.He also had a religious side, once he uttered one evening as we drove across Florida, “if God brings you to it he will see you through it ..”I had the good fortune of spending time with Barry's parents. They took pride in their son. What more can parents expect ? Barry was self motivated. If the prize be steak knifes or a Cadillac it made no difference , he would be first in line to win the prize. To him second place was occupied by the first loser.We live in a complex Global Village that cries for more exceptional salesman like Barry....be it in religion, economics, politics , education or whatever...the world needs better salesman/woman. Barry was the best of the best in his chosen field.It is times like these where we celebrate Barry's life , that reinforces those values we hold dear and civilize us ...family, love, work, friendship, caring and today above all defining what a good man is , Barry was a good man . His word was his bond and he delivered more than he promised. Barry knew the reward for virtue is virtue and the only way to have a friend is to be one. All the world was Barry's stage, he had his exits and his entrances and ultimately he played his roles exceptionally well.Faith is the belief that in the impossible it is possible, that in God, time and eternity are one, that both life and death are meaningful. Faith ordains that the dearest friends must part. Words that come from the heart go to the heart.... John Rajcic

Dad, - it has been 3 years since God called you home - You were the best father any family could ask for, you taught us well and we were blessed to have a father like you in our lives, always there when we needed you - we all miss you very much and will see you again one day - We love and miss you with all of our hearts - God Bless You!

Dear Anita, I send you my deepest sympathy in the passing of Barry. I was trying to locate you today, when I learned of this. Music is the great communicator among all peoples. We need more quality music. I know he and I could relate totally on this, and I am so sorry that we never had that opportunity. I hope to be in touch with you before the year is out. TO Anita and to Barry's entire family,I was saddened to learn of Barry's passing. We were classmates at Liberty High School in Ohio. Barry was a remarkable person, a treasured friend with whom I have been in contact via e-mail and telephone for several years. My wife, Heidi, joins me in offering sincere sympathy and prayers that you will find comfort and peace after this great loss.

When the enemy death strikes your grief can be great. It's never the right time to say goodbye to a loved one. Death too to many seems to be a part of life. It's during times such as these that we can find comfort in the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9, 10 ~ "Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth". Only God's (Psalms 83:18) Kingdom can bring peace, happiness, perfect health, and everlasting life.
