I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as God's word the bible. Why do people we love die? Romans 5:12 says: "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

Although we did not see them often, I have wonderful memories of Aunt Bernice and Uncle Tom. As a child, it was a treat to come to Florida to visit, as we lived in Indiana way up north. Their life on the boat was exciting to me, so different from my way of life.  I remember when they would come to visit us in the summer, Uncle Tom would always go out to mom's garden, salt shaker in hand, and indulge in a fresh ripe Indiana tomato. Couldn't beat the taste! I remember Chi-Chi was always with Aunt Bernice.I have several things that Aunt Bernice made and sent as gifts that I will always treasure.Together Aunt Bernice and Uncle Tom have left with us a wonderful legacy in their children and grandchildren and their families. Aunt Bernice was a wonderful lady and a very special Aunt. I will always cherish the memories we had together both in Wildwood NJ and Fort Lauderdale, FL. My condolences to all the family. May she rest in Peace.

Grandmom Byrne was a pillar of quiet strength and wisdom. She was an important role model in my kids' lives and was always there at family gatherings inquiring about their lives and sharing hers. She and Grandpop spent time with and loved each grandchild. Her legacy are the memories each one will remember and forever cherish. She was an important person in my life and I'm grateful for having known her and loved her.

I am blessed with MANY memories of my Grandmother. She literally showed me the world. The places we have been and the experiences we shared will forever be cherished. Every time I grab my knitting needles or a piece of chocolate she will be remembered for sure. "Those we hold closest never leave us, they live on in the kindness they have shared and the love brought into our lives." I have wonderful memories of coming to Florida to visit Uncle Tommy and Aunt Bernice. We also looked forward to our visits and the great times we had while visiting. Aunt Bernice will be greatly missed by family, friends, and all who knew her, Rest in Peace.
