

Beverly Judithann Perez, 44, of Miramar went home with the Lord on July 17, 2013, after a four-year battle with cancer. She was born in Trinidad on September 27, 1968. She attended St Mary's Catholic School in Long Beach, New York and graduated from Piper High School in Sunrise.
Beverly served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps where she was an Honor Graduate from Boot Camp. Following her Honorable discharge, Beverly worked at Nabisco for 3 years before joining the Broward Sheriff's Office as a Detention Deputy. She has worked for the Hollywood Police Department for the last 9 years where she worked in several Specialized Units ending her career as a Detective conducting Background Investigations.
Beverly was a dedicated participant in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and with the Fight Like a Girl Club.
Left to mourn her passing is her son, Kyle; parents- Maria and Alcibiades Hibbert; the best ex-husband in the world- Alex Perez; brothers- Jermaine (Danielle) and Jeremy (Jeni); sisters- Glenda (Randal), Bridgette Simpo(Freddie) and Sally(Esau); grandmother- Estella Hibbert; niece- Jada, nephews- Julian, Jaydan, Isaiah, David, Michael and Jovon. Devoted friends Tammy Edwards, Nicola Williams, Roy Maynard, Willie Caruthers, Dwaymon Cason, the Bhagwandats of Sunrise, Diana Pereira and Valerie Merle, along with extended family, Law Enforcement family and a host of friends.
