Bruce Charles Gerry, age 70, of Hialeah, Florida, passed away July 25, 2018, at his residence. A South Florida resident since 1956, coming from Ohio, Bruce was born July 18, 1948, in West Point, New York, to Frank James Gerry, Jr. and Lucy Elleen (Abrams) Gerry.
A onetime member of North Palm Baptist Church, Palm Springs North Community, and a Vietnam Army Veteran, he was a singer and musician and an extra in the TV show Miami Vice.
Bruce is survived by his siblings: Laura Gerry Haimes of Coconut Creek; and Frank James (Emily) Gerry of Umatilla, Florida. Also by his nieces and nephews Frank, Kenny, Bruce, Emmy Lu, Michael, Mark, Matthew and Katy. He is preceded in death by his parents and two nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held August 31, 2018 at 1:45 p.m. in Lane 1 at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
