It is with very heavy heart that we announce the death of our cherished son, nephew, cousin, and friend. Bryan was known to all, friends and family alike, as a fun-loving, caring, generous man. That's not to say that he didn't love a good joke at someone else's expense, but it was never cruel. Being an only child, he especially appreciated time spent with his cousins, aunts and uncles. He had many friends from high school days at Sea Breeze High School, Class of 1990, in Ormond Beach, as well as through his career as a lifeguard with Hollywood Beach Safety for 23 years where he participated in several ocean rescues,. He really loved his job and enjoyed going each day. He also loves motorcycles, his dog, Boomer, and his lifeguard family especially Rick Fiorillo and Rick's daughter, Gabriella. Bryan grew up in the Daytona Beach area and made a point to return for the NASCAR races held at the Speedway each year.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Berry Ferguson, his grandparents, Dot and Eldon Berry as well as Geneva and Lester Ferguson and his Uncle Patrick Berry.
He leaves behind his Father, William S. Ferguson, Uncle Ray Ferguson (Judy) , Aunt Janice F. Thompson (Gene,) Aunt Sandra Ferguson, Aunt Lynn Berry Miller ( Barry) as well as several cousins, their families and a host of friends.
A celebration of Byran's life will be held on Wednesday, September 21st at 6:30 p.m. with a "Paddle Out" located across from the Riptide Hotel, Hollywood Beach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler County at Countryside Station, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129 or to a charity of your choice .
