Carl was born on April 5, 1957 in Elkton, MD. He was the first born child of Adrian and Barbara Pelzner of Reston, VA. He was the husband of Marleny and father of Eddy Pelzner of Hollywood, FL. He was the brother of Diane Gilbert and Edward Pelzner both of Parker, CO.
Carl graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He had an illustrious career as comptroller and financial officer in many businesses and resort hotels. Among them were Cairo Marriott Hotel and Casino, Egypt; Chicago Marriott, Schaumburg, IL; Jack Tar Village, Dominican Republic; Churchill Hotel, Washington, DC; Marriott Marquis, New York, NY; Adams Mark Hotel, Memphis, TN and Ft. Lauderdale Marriott, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
