Carole Gregory Raitt

Carole Gregory Raitt, age 86, of Tamarac, Florida passed away and stepped into the presence of God on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Florida Medical Center. Born on June 29, 1931, in Passaic, New Jersey to Kenneth Jay Gregory and Catherine Williamson Gregory.

Carole graduated from Rutherford High School in 1949, was married to Edward October 28, 1950, and became a mother in 1951. She committed her whole life to the Lord and was baptized in 1958. She gave generously of herself as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She served faithfully in the community as a Sunday School teacher, Child Evangelism teacher, and as a pastor's wife at Good News Fellowship in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A woman of many talents, Carole loved creating beauty and encouraging others through her art, dance, sewing, and writing. In all she did, she made everyone feel welcome and brought people together. An encouragement in the spiritual growth of countless individuals, she desired nothing more than the presence of God, and her life on earth was a beautiful offering of worship and service to the Lord. She loved her family well, and in recent years was increasingly ready to meet Jesus face to face and be reunited with the love of her life, Edward. They are all dancing in Glory!

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Laura Raitt Smith, Elizabeth Raitt Smith, and Carole Raitt Hargis and 9 grandchildren and 5 great grand children. She is preceded in death by husband Edward Duncan Raitt, parents Kenneth Jay Gregory and Catherine Williamson Gregory, sister Phyllis Gregory Kinstler, and brother Kenneth Gregory.

The family will celebrate her life Friday, December 1, 2017. They will receive visitors at New Wine Ministries: 12349 SW 53rd Street in Cooper City, Florida, 33330 at 12:00 pm followed by a memorial celebration at 12:30 pm. A graveside service will be held at 2:45 pm at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North: 3001 North 72nd Avenue in Hollywood, Florida, 33324.
