

The service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Fred Hunter’s located at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida 33024.
Born in Danville, Virginia on May 7, 1943, to her parents Ruth Gregory and Allen Wright. She was sister to Irma Jean, William, and Richard. On May 20, 1960, Cecilemarried Frank Moore, together they had four children while residing in the state of Virginia, later moving to south Florida in July of 1966.
Known for her passion to care for others, she was a natural nurturer, taking care of others by whatever mean necessary – this was her calling. Always known for her sentiment, she was intentional on making sure that her family and friends knew they were loved-either through an engravement gift, music box or simple card.
Known as Mom, Grandma Moore, Gigi and Cece – she sure did wear a lot of hats. Her family always came first. Her house was the center of all holiday gatherings, and her cooking and baking was the comfort to most bellies.
Most of her career was spent in the food service industry. Sunday’s, you would find her at North Miami Beach’s Denny’s serving up the Grand Slam. She stayed busy by traveling, enjoying lunch dates with girlfriends, watching her favorite game shows, and challenging her mind with word search puzzles.
Cecile is preceded by her son Kenny Moore, and is survived by her spouse Frank Moore, children, Deborah Nelson (Moore), Steve Moore and daughter Sharon Moore, son-in-law Richard Nelson and daughter in-law Diane Grantham. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Nicole Chinea (Eddie Chinea), Shelley Moore (Fred Ossaba), Britney Cooper (James Cooper), Travis Moore and Samantha Toye; great-grandchildren: Braylon Chinea, Alynna Ossaba, Tristan Toye, Aria Chinea, Mia Kitchens, Adrian Ossaba, Murphy Cooperand Marshall Cooper. As well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
