Julio Cesar Sordo, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 11, 2020 at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, FL. He was surrounded by family during his final days after a long and heroic 18-year battle with multiple myeloma. He will forever be remembered as a champion for always giving all that he had for his family and close friends.
Cesar was born in Cuba on October 29, 1952 to Niña and Juan Sordo. He is survived by his wonder woman wife (of 47 years), Suzanne; his two proud children, Megan and Sean; his big brother, Juan; and suddenly all of a sudden -- many, many grandchildren that he loved all so much.
For those that knew Cesar best, some of his favorite passions in life included his family and automobile racing sports. He also loved the marine industry and served as a leading contributor in a variety of capacities at Florida Detroit Diesel Allison (FDDA) for over 45 years.
A celebration of life service will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 25 at Fred Hunter’s funeral home located at 2401 South University Drive, Davie, FL 33324.
