Charles Jackson Clayman Jr., 79, of North Miami Beach, Florida, passed away on December 9, 2023 in North Miami Beach, Florida. He had been a Miami resident for nearly 70 years at the time of his death.
Charles was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to Charles Jackson Clayman Sr. and Edna Lorena Clayman on May 5, 1944. He graduated from Treadwell High School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1962. For the balance of his career, he worked for Food Fair/Pantry Pride Stores, becoming one of their youngest managers. He subsequently left this job to begin a carpet cleaning business and later concentrated on managing his own properties. Charles, known as Charlie to his friends, was known for his willingness to help others whether it was helping them settle into this country or by assisting with issues involving projects at their homes.
Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Martha Elizabeth Clayman and his parents.
He is survived by his brother Jerry Clayman, and his sister, Jane Clayman Spence.
Charles was a wonderful brother, and a friend to many. He had a ready smile for anyone he met and was well known in his neighborhood. We will miss him.
