
We bid a heartfelt farewell to Charles “Charlie” Greenstein, who peacefully departed this world on March 7, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Charlie’s life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and cherished memories.
Charlie was born in Ocean City, New Jersey, on April 17, 1932, to the loving embrace of his parents, Nathan Greenstein and Ella Goldberg. He graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in1950 and pursued higher education at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
For over 50 years, Charlie dedicated himself to the trucking industry, working as a truck broker at Greenstein Trucking in Pompano Beach, Florida. His commitment extended beyond his professional life; he also served in the United States Army as a proud veteran.
Charlie’s heart overflowed with love for his family, the Miami Dolphins, and his two loyal canine companions, Blackjack and Raider.
Charlie is reunited with his sister, Shendel Greenstein, and his twin brother, Harry Greenstein, who preceded him in death. Their memories will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved them.
Charlie leaves behind a legacy of love. His wife of 20 years and partner for 44 years, Judith Greenstein, stands as a testament to their enduring bond. His sons, Nate Greenstein, Steven Greenstein, and Marty Greenstein, and his wife, Kim Greenstein, mourn his loss. Additionally, his stepson, Curt Nichols, and his wife, Debbie Nichols, share in this grief.
Charlie’s impact extends to his cherished grandchildren: Michael Greenstein and his wife, Kourtney, Abraham Greenstein and his wife, Tara, Sarah Greenstein, and Christopher Nichols. The lineage of love continues through great-grandchildren: Zoey, Beckett, Parker, Adrian, and Naomi Greenstein.
We invite you to join us for a Celebration of Life Gathering and Visitation on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Fred Hunter Funeral Home (718 S Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316). The Celebration of Life Service will commence at 5:00 PM.
