

Charles Devese Sweeting, Jr. was a much beloved brother and son. On August 30, 1972, Charles was born to the late Leila T. Sweeting and Charles D. Sweeting, Sr. He was the third of four children. On May 11, 2024, Charles received the call to return home.
Charlie, as he was affectionally known, had a stellar career working in both the technology and food industry. He earned degrees in Electrical Engineering Technology and Culinary Arts. He started his career like his father in the cruise industry and this allowed him to travel to the Caribbean, South America, and various ports in the United States.
He was a kind, loving, and thoughtful individual, who always stayed in touch with family and friends. He was also dependable and selfless and was the glue that kept everyone together.
He is survived by 3 sisters, Moira, Yvette, and Mickell, one brother-in-law Harry Miller, and 2 aunts, Beverly Farquharson and Paula Sweeting.
He is survived by numerous family members including, the Sweeting family, the Fowler family, the Lockart family, the McGregor family, the Nairn family, and the Sears family.
He is also survived by other relatives and friends in Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and Nassau including the Miller family, the Dawson family, the Taylor family, the Lee family, the Allen family, the Ellis family, the Johnson family, the Bellamy family, the Hill family, the Williams family, and the Schreiber family.
